Welcome to Cameron Park Care Community

Cameron Park Care Community enjoys the best of both worlds, being located in a quiet residential setting with the amenities of the Newcastle CBD within 30 minutes drive. Our Care Community is a thriving community of people primarily from the Newcastle and Hunter region. Recently renovated, we have a mix of old-world charm and modern styling, with a movie theatrette, shaded courtyards, and a communal BBQ in our gardens for residents, friends, and family to enjoy.

Care at Cameron Park

We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership work alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care and respite care. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. Our memory care neighbourhood provides an environment custom-designed to support the individual needs of residents who are living with dementia. We recognise that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important to us – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support and live your best life in our care.

Daily living at Cameron Park

We are a family-oriented Care Community with close ties to the local community, including the local childcare centre where we enjoy reciprocal visits with our young friends. We have an active group of residents who enjoy walking to the local supermarket and spending time outdoors in our gardens and courtyards. Our private dining room is a favourite spot for special occasions and family celebrations.

It’s an environment where you’re free to enjoy your interests, independently or with others, continue to learn and try new things, and participate in Cameron Park life – so you can enjoy your day, your way.

My aunty has been @ Cameron Park for 6 months. She has a collapsed vocal cord so hard for staff to hear her. They take their time to listen & do a wonderful job of looking after her. From meeting Kylie on the tour of the facility to dealing with Alyssa & Kate & all the nursing staff & cleaning staff, it was the best decision I made for her. Kiara & Nick are a joy as soon as you walk in the door. We have all been made to feel welcome - including her dog that I take in. They have a great little cafe that has awesome food for family or residents if they wish to get something different. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Opal Health Care. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, always clean & happy residents. A testament to all staff involved.

Unfortunately my mother passed away at this facility 2 weeks ago. She lived here over 2.5 years and hated every day. Levels of care fluctuated widely. Mum was high maintenance and could be difficult, but was utterly reliant on team , and while most treated my mother with care and respect, there are events I witnessed that I’m still still struggling to deal with. I can not drive past this facility without feeling ill. I’m sorry but based on my experience I can not recommend

Cameron Park Community Care is an outstanding aged care facility. The Nurses and Staff all truly care and support their residents to the best of their ability. Always making them smile and enjoy their life in a safe and respectful environment + with fun events and engaging activities each day. Seriously this place is very good and you won't find better. Their name is exactly what happens here, "Care Community" everyone is friendly, all workers interact with residents and no matter what your condition they treat you equally and with respect and have plenty of ongoing activities !

This is a welcoming and caring home. I have visited Cameron Park Care Community numerous times for all different reasons. Spring and Easter Fairs, happy hour and other special occasions. At all times the staff and management have been friendly, helpful and present. I would highly recommend this home to care for your loved ones.

Cameron park holds a lot of memories for me as I used to work there. This aged care facility is comparatively good than other facilities I’ve work so far however the staff shortage used to be insane like they used to expect us to look after 30-35 residents by 3 staff in the morning and it used to make me so sad because the quality of care which the residents deserve we couldn’t able to provide them because of the time. Also, the staff members over here are very rude including few RN’s. If you’re seeking to work in this facility than be prepared to be harassed by the staff members specially in “Archer”. Talking about the manager Kate, she has an excellent leadership qualities which I liked the most in her. In conclusion, Thankyou to this beautiful place for teaching me so many things, YES i had ups and downs but at the end this place holds a special place in my heart. Missed all the residents specially (Joy, Brenda, Lilly ) I really hope you guys are doing fine. THANK YOU-❤️

Opal Care Cameron Park was just wonderful for my father! He was very happy there and was cared for with respect and compassion. The staff are very helpful, caring and friendly. Communication from nursing staff was always appreciated and they were amazing on Dad's last day with us. Highly recommended
