Our thoughtfully designed Care Community features four distinct wings, each with its own communal lounge and dining area, creating a sense of familiarity and connection. Whether you're enjoying a meal in the private dining room or relaxing in one of our four landscaped courtyards, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and connect with others.

Our Care Community provides compassionate, personalised care with registered nurses onsite 24/7 and a dedicated wellbeing team. We offer permanent, respite, dementia, and palliative care, supported by our Memory Care Neighbourhood and access to primary and allied health services, including physiotherapy.

Daily Living at Mill Park Glades

Mill Park Glades features modern single and companion rooms with private ensuites, a hair and beauty salon, a chapel, library, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Residents can enjoy a wide range of social activities, music, art, cultural events, and pet-friendly spaces. With seasonal menus, a Men’s Shed, and regular bus outings, residents are supported to live each day their way, in comfort and community.

Amazing staff and beautiful place. My parents have been in care here for 10 months and I just can’t find the words to express how thankful I am to every staff member for their kindness. Management, nurses, office staff, kitchen and laundry staff,, lifestyle staff, maintenance staff, I feel they have all become part of our family and can highly recommend them all. My parents have loved the bus outings, the games and activities, the singers and piano players, the food (especially the morning and afternoon teas, high teas, any time cup of teas!), and chats with the staff. The premises is lovely and bright, always tidy,. A beautiful place.

Mum has been at Blue Cross for about a year now. The staff are patient, warm and caring and really helped mum to settle in. The atmosphere is very clean and welcoming and the food is great- in fact we often have lunch and eat with her so have tried the food many times- healthy and tasty. Mum participates in many activities which has been so great for her wellbeing and is better placed now. Thank you and my family appreciate your work.

Our family feel very blessed to have such a wonderful caring environment where mum (88yo) is comfortable and happy. Staff are all extremely kind, attentive, caring and supportive at all times. Management treats residents as well as family members as individuals rather than a number, they are always happy to discuss any concerns we may have and immediately act upon changes should there be a need to do so. Food is always fresh, good quality and on time, residents can chose from menu which has a great selection to chose from. Mum likes her wine and has a glass of wine every day for both lunch and dinner which she really enjoys. They also offer variety of cake etc with coffee tea in between meal times. The carers are wonderful who really go above and beyond to groom each resident from showering to dressing and hair styling daily. There is always entertainers or activities to entertain residence which is evident in uplifting spirits and brings joy to residence which is so wonderful to witness. I know a couple of people who work at other aged care facilities who have come in to Opal to visit mum and have told me where they work can never even compare to what we have here for mum, From cleanliness to food, care and the premises in general but most importantly management that actually cares about everyone and is always on hand to help us in any way. We constantly get updates on mum no matter how big or small the matter may be. New manager Gitan is very approachable and always acts in the best interest of residents. If you're searching for an aged care facility for your loved ones I highly recommend Opal Mill Park for your family members well being and care. I can trully say we are at peace knowing mum is well looked after and happy now since she's been there for over 2 years. Thank you to everyone at Opal for your continued support in every aspect of care, we very much appreciate each and ever one of you. Regards Val

Had experienced a very rude and unprofessional employee when visiting my grandmother. This (roughly 5-5.5ft) dark-haired middle-aged lady yelled at me from the other end of the corridor screaming if I needed help, which I said No (whilst sitting with my grandmother at her room door). She startled many elderly residents by raising her voice. After saying bye to my grandmother and walking away, the employee could not take No for an answer and kept screaming then proceeded to follow me several corridors away to the main entrance, when I continually said 'I do not need help and am leaving now', yet she continued to talk to other staff members saying things like 'Does he need help? He has been wondering the corridors for hours' (?? which is not true at all and made up lies because I did not want to associate with her who is only embarrassing herself). I then got fed up and asked for her name as she wasn't wearing a name badge and she said, 'I don't have to give you my name', which she does. Many age care facilities have policies stipulating that name badges must be worn at all times and BlueCross seems to do what they want, going by their poor credit star ratings and reviews. Then another worker approached me when I asked them to let me out, and she said you can have my name, it is Khush/Kush but you can't have her name. I then left and told them I'm making an official complaint. If they treat visitors this way, God knows how the residents are treated.

My main concern is that they have a resident cat. The cat rubs up against residents and in my opinion poses a major falls hazard. I cannot believe management allows this!
