Welcome to Wahroonga Place Care Community

Wahroonga Place Care Community is conveniently located on Sydney's leafy upper north shore and is a happy and loving place for people from all walks of life. Local shops and amenities are close by, with easy access to public transport routes. We have strong ties to the local community, including volunteers and local schools. We encourage loved ones to be involved in our Wahroonga Place life and residents take pleasure in organising activities of their choice. Our diverse mix of cultural heritage is a point of connection for residents and team, and our companion model of care fosters a sense of family and belonging.

Care at Wahroonga Place

We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership works alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care and respite care. Our memory care neighbourhood provides an environment custom-designed to support the individual needs of residents who are living with dementia. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. We recognise that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important to us – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support, and live your best life in our care.

Daily living at Wahroonga Place

Musical gatherings, card groups, arts and crafts, a sewing circle, and our monthly intergenerational playgroup are just some of the interests that bring our residents joy. Sharing their cultural heritage through the food is important to our residents, and our residents and chefs choose our menus together. Our resident-run social committee ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

It’s an environment where you’re free to enjoy your interests, independently or with others, continue to learn and try new things, and participate in Wahroonga Place life – so you can enjoy your day, your way.

Plus a means tested daily care fee and the Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (MPIR)

In my personal experience this is one of the best nursing home I have ever visited becouse the level of professional care is second to none and in is a place it truly has a real heart and soul and with a team of caring professionals . Wahroonga Place is not just about the furnishings to impress the visitors visiting only , Wahroonga place truly cares about its residents and it must be on a consideration list for anyone’s loved ones .

My mum was a resident at that place for years. The staff was loving and careful .Mum liked the food and I felt they took an excellent care of her.The new manager Tracy is the sweetest person and have complete understanding and compassion for the care of your your loved one

I will pass on this lovely feedback to them. I had the pleasure of getting to know you and your mum when I started at Wahroonga Place last year and enjoyed seeing you both on the days you visited. It was a pleasure and a privilege to look after Mum in our home; seeing her bright smiling face light up when I came to say “Good Morning” made my day better. A highlight for me was seeing her joy in looking after our newly created garden beds. She loved spending the afternoon watering the plants and talking to them gently to get them to grow.
