Located within the foreshore of the Swan River, Applecross Shore Care Community represents the pinnacle of residential aged care, surpassing anything you’ve seen before in Perth.

Care at Applecross Shore

We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership work alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care and respite care. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. Our memory care neighbourhood provides an environment custom-designed to support the individual needs of residents who are living with dementia. Our state-of-the-art wellness centre enables residents to benefit from a holistic approach to wellbeing, rehabilitation and restorative care in a welcoming environment. We recognise that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important to us – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support and live your best life in our care.

Daily Living at Applecross Shore

Our team will care for your clinical needs and support you to enjoy the interests, relationships and food you love, within a warm, caring environment. Our in-house Chef creates nutritious home-style meals cooked fresh each day or you can pop into Café Jetty and enjoy barista-style coffee and delicious snacks with family and friends. Our delightful resident kitchens offer a friendly social hub where everyone can enjoy fun times, food or swap a recipe or two. 

Our custom-designed Care Community features luxurious bedrooms with ensuites, spacious indoor and outdoor areas, shaded balconies and a dedicated memory care neighbourhood providing care for people living with dementia. Residents can choose to stay active at our onsite wellness centre, where a team of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and occupational therapists support residents to achieve improved mobility, independence and overall wellbeing. Our well-appointed hairdresser and day spa features beauty and nail treatments so residents can look and feel their best.

The whole team from admin through to the carers have been so supportive and kind, starting from respite services through to a permanent placement for both our parents. This facility is not just a pretty face, lovely carers and beautiful spaces to enjoy a variety of activities. Yes, we are so grateful to have found Applecross Shore! Highly recommend this facility to anyone considering residential aged care, mum & dad are loving their new home.

The building is new and like a hotel and in a great location, but the level of care, especially at night, is very poor and our loved one remains unchanged often until after breakfast. I look around when I’m there and think ‘who runs this place?’ After investing all that money it’s like a ghost town when you need someone before breakfast. They are also extremely inflexible with following previous (your own) doctors medications. When someone is EOL they need more pain meds, not a strict schedule and they are frustrating to deal with.

This is a different review, I have not experienced this facility first hand, however a patient in the care of this facility presented via ED and I took over his care for an 8 hour period. This patient had clearly been nurtured. His skin was obviously moisturised daily and he was well looked after. Definitely a place I would put my own parents or myself. The staff are clearly educated and supervised and I would definitely rate this facility as one to put on the "they do the job very well" list!
