Treeby Parklands Care Community team welcomes first residents

Today our team warmly welcomed our first residents to our brand new Treeby Parklands Care Community in Western Australia.

Our beautiful new care community has been designed to create a sense of community where residents can stay connected to friends and loved ones, and receive personalised care focused on their individual needs and preferences.

Mrs Val Schmelzkopf is one of our first residents to call Treeby Parklands home.

“I’m delighted to be moving into such a lovely home, so close to the dog park. I’ll miss my beloved dog, Suzie, but she’ll be able to visit me every day after a run around the park. I’m excited about the beautiful gardens and I look forward to helping to take care of them. My family live nearby with their young children, and they’ve promised to drop in regularly,” said Mrs. Schmelzkopf.

Providing a safe and secure environment is fundamental to our care and the building design incorporates accessible living spaces that are easy to navigate, including state-of-the-art security technology to give residents and their loved one's peace of mind. We have a team of dedicated and compassionate registered nurses and carers on-site 24 hours a day.

We believe everyone should have something to look forward to every day and we enable a lifestyle where residents can enjoy their hobbies and interests, continue to learn and try new things and participate in meaningful activities.

Our in-home chef prepares meals from scratch each day using the freshest ingredients and creates seasonal menus with input from residents so that they can enjoy the food they like to eat. Our gardens and shaded courtyards provide ample space for outdoor activities, with sensory gardens and raised vegetable garden beds.

Treeby Parklands Care Community is a collaboration between our Property team, our talented architects, KPA Architects, whose quality design has produced a considered and thoughtful environment for our residents and team, our Project Managers, Johnstaff, and our builder, Perkins, who has delivered to us a care community built with the highest construction standards.

The thoughtfully designed care community has 120 spacious residential places, all with ensuites, and some with direct garden access. The care home includes a Memory Care Neighbourhood, which is a dedicated environment filled with cues and memory supports to help people living with dementia live with meaning and purpose in our care.

Our newest care community is located directly opposite the popular Calleya dog park, which inspired the Treeby Parklands team to adopt a canine theme, with distinctive interior design touches and each wing named after a particular dog breed. Our on-site ‘Paws Café, offering barista-style coffee, and delicious meals and snacks, will become a popular destination for residents and the local community. We also have a well-appointed hairdressing and beauty salon so residents can look and feel their best, and landscaped tranquil gardens with shaded areas for everyone to enjoy.

Treeby Parklands also features a Wellness Centre run by qualified physiotherapists with a fully equipped gym, providing individual re-ablement and rehabilitation programs for residents and community members.
