Celebrating 10 years of career growth
16th May 2023 | 4 minsWhen Opal HealthCare supported Vini to come to Australia and join our team as a registered nurse, it sparked an exciting career journey in which Vini continues to thrive.
"A decade has passed since I joined Opal HealthCare, and it's has been 10 wonderful growing years with the organisation that brought me to Australia," says Vinni, General Manager at Mudgee Grove Care Community in NSW.
Vinni began her career as a registered nurse at Chiswick Manor Care Community, progressively working her way up to become a Regional Care Assessment manager. In 2021, Vinni was appointed General Manager at Mudgee Grove. She credits the Opal HealthCare's scholarship programs for supporting her career growth with exciting learning opportunities along the way. As part of her development, Vini was sponsored to complete her Graduate Certificate in Aged Care Management with Western Sydney University- fully funded. This qualification enabled Vini to more easily transition from a registered nurse to a manager.
"I've have been faced with circumstances that made me want to learn more and become a better version of who I am", she says.
"From people management to role modelling, I strive to not be average but to be excellent". Vinni believes being a leader has no boundaries and her motivation is to be exemplary in all that she does.
"This wonderful journey has been filled with challenges that ended up being my steps to success. I feel blessed and look forward to more years with Opal HealthCare." Vinni's story demonstrates the importance of being open to learning and growth opportunities, having a positive mindset, and challenging yourself to achieve your goals.
