How we measure customer satisfaction
Also known as ‘CSAT,’ this tracks how satisfied our customers are with our Care Community. It’s measured by asking the question, “Overall, how satisfied are you with your Care Community.’’ While many organisations measure CSAT on an ad-hoc basis, our CSAT question is included in our continuous surveys, providing us with real-time data that we can use to drive improvements.
Recommendation
Customer Recommendation Score (CRS) is Opal HealthCare’s adaptation of the Net Promoter Score (NPS), a widely used tool to measure customer loyalty. We calculate CRS by asking our residents and relatives, “How likely are you to recommend this Care Community to family and friends?” The metric is especially meaningful because research tells us that most people will only recommend a service with which they have been routinely impressed.
Welcome to Denhams Beach Care Community
Denhams Beach Care Community is located on the beautiful NSW South Coast and offers a magnificent beachfront setting with breath taking ocean views. Residents enjoy spending time in our extensive gardens, exercising, soaking up the sun or watching whales from our terrace overlooking the beach. We have strong ties to the Batemans Bay community with many residents who are lifelong locals. We offer expert whole-of-person care and wellbeing in a welcoming, family focused environment.
Care at Denhams Beach
We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership work alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care and respite care. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. Our memory care neighbourhood provides an environment custom-designed to support the individual needs of residents who are living with dementia. We recognise that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important to us – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support and live your best life in our care.
Daily living at Denhams Beach
Our Care Community is a happy and loving place. Our men's group enjoy going on 4WD and fishing trips in the local area. Residents often put their green thumbs to work in our elevated gardens, nurturing our plants, or tending to our friendly chickens who occasionally provide eggs that our chef cooks up for breakfast. There’s plenty to do with a well-stocked library, billiards table and board games, and our indoor and outdoor exercise sessions are always popular.
It’s an environment where you’re free to enjoy your interests, independently or with others, continue to learn and try new things, and participate in Denhams Beach life – so you can enjoy your day, your way.

Means Tested Care Fees (MTCF)
This is an additional contribution towards the cost of care that some people may be required to pay. The Department of Social Services will work out if you are required to pay this fee based on an assessment of your income and assets, and will advise you of the amount.
Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (MPIR)
The MPIR is a government-set interest rate used to calculate a daily accommodation payment based on your agreed room price. It is used to determine equivalence between a daily payment and a refundable lump sum deposit, giving you a choice in how to pay. The MPIR is not an interest charge to residents who have not paid for their accommodation costs in full. It is set at a level to ensure that if you choose to pay daily payments rather than a lump sum, the daily payments are sufficient to cover the costs of providing accommodation in your aged care home. You can find current and previous MPIRs on the Department of Health website.
