Intergenerational programs
Intergenerational connections form part of the beating heart of many of our Care Communities. While the age groups involved span the spectrum from babies and preschoolers to school and university students, the one thing in common is the tremendous benefit that all participants receive.

From cuddly chicks to colossal Clydesdales - in every Opal Care Community there are daily interactions with animals both great and small, providing both comfort and companionship. While some of our homes have resident animals, others welcome regular visits from family pets and Delta Society volunteers.

Contributing to others is vital to living with purpose and meaning. Our residents are involved in a diverse range of community giving activities, be it crocheting blankets for the local women’s refuge, baking for charity drives or constructing bird feeders to protect our wildlife.

Wellness Centres
We care deeply about bringing positivity and possibility into our elders’ lives. Our Wellness Centres promote rehabilitation and reablement, with evidence-based treatment programs and individualised services to improve independence, quality of life and emotional and physical well-being.
